THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking to recruit an experienced senior hands on operations leader to lead and scale our EV Operations across Australia and New Zealand. This role is a critical leadership hire for the ANZ portfolio and will combine direct operational ownership and regional leadership including building out a team as the asset base grows.
The Head of Operations (ANZ) will be responsible for the day-to-day operational performance of EV assets, while also laying the foundations for a scalable local operating model. This includes building strong relationships with external partners, OEMs, utilities, subcontractors, and customers, and progressively recruiting and developing the ANZ operations team.
Working closely with the Director of Asset Management and ANZ Country Director, the role will shape how Zenobē operates EV assets in the ANZ market, from early project mobilisation through to steady state operations and long-term asset optimisation. The successful candidate will be comfortable operating in an evolving environment, making pragmatic decisions, and balancing immediate delivery with long term capability building.
A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY
This is a leading and doing role. In the early stages, the Head of Operations (ANZ) will be deeply involved in hands on operational execution. As the portfolio expands, the focus will progressively shift toward team leadership, partner management, and operational governance, while retaining accountability for outcomes.

Act as the primary escalation point for EV operations in the region.

Provide operational input into subcontracting strategies, cost models, and programme assumptions.
Support the Delivery team during asset creation, commissioning, and handover, ensuring a smooth transition into operations.
Influence OEM and technology selection based on operational performance, maintainability, and whole-of-life considerations.
Champion a strong safety first culture, working closely with the HSSE team to ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand regulatory requirements.
Initially operate in a hands on capacity, while designing the future state ANZ operating model. Build a high performing team aligned to Zenobe’s culture in line with ANZ portfolio growth.
Work closely with Zenobē’s Product and Software teams to inform system design, monitoring tools, and future software enhancements.
Partner with the Product Management and Engineering Team to develop insightful performance reporting, automated alerting, and data driven decision making.
Use operational data to identify risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities across the portfolio.
Contribute to the operational governance and standard operating procedures to continuously improve and evaluate effectiveness.

Drive global standardisation of operational processes and contracts.
Embed a customer first approach across all EV operations, ensuring customer service outcomes, service quality and long-term partnerships are at the heart of operational decision making.
