EV Procurement and Contracts Battery Lead
The EV Procurement and Contracts Battery Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing the global strategy for EV batteries, battery replacement and portable power within Zenobe.

THE OPPORTUNITY
The EV Procurement and Contracts Battery Lead will be responsible for shaping and executing the global strategy for EV batteries, battery replacement and portable power within Zenobe. This role will lead strategic supplier partnerships, ensure alignment with operational and technical requirements, and act as a key representative in the development of the battery strategy both within the EV and Portable Power business units.
A TASTE OF THE DAY TO DAY
Strategic Leadership
Define and implement a global strategy for battery replacements, focusing on lifecycle cost optimisation, sustainability, and regulatory compliance.
Lead the development of the portable power battery business unit, contributing to its commercial and operational growth through the procurement of first and second-life systems.
Monitor global trends in battery technology, recycling, and second-life applications to inform procurement strategy.
Supplier Partnerships
Identify, evaluate, and establish strategic partnerships with key battery suppliers and technology innovators.
Negotiate long-term agreements that secure supply, manage risk, and support innovation.
Develop supplier performance frameworks and lead joint development initiatives where applicable.
Operational Alignment
Collaborate with product, operations, asset and fleet management teams to ensure procurement strategies meet technical and operational requirements.
Support the integration of battery replacement programs into existing asset management and maintenance workflows.
Ensure compliance with international standards, safety regulations, and sustainability goals.
Procurement Execution
Lead end-to-end procurement activities for batteries, including sourcing, tendering, contracting, and supplier onboarding.
Manage procurement budgets, cost tracking, and reporting for battery-related spend.
Drive continuous improvement in procurement processes and tools.
Business Unit Representation
Act as a key representative within the business in cross-functional and external stakeholder engagements.
Support business development activities by providing procurement insights and supplier capabilities.
Represent the company in industry forums, regulatory consultations, and supplier summits.

Qualifications & Experience
Proven experience in global procurement (minimum 8 years), preferably in EV, energy storage, or automotive sectors.
Strong understanding of battery technologies, complex supply chain dynamics, ideally regulatory framework experience.
Demonstrated ability to lead strategic sourcing and supplier development initiatives.
Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and analytical skills.
Ideally degree level education in supplier relationship, procurement, or business management or 8+ years’ experience in a relevant Procurement role
